New Acting Assistant Principal at J.T. Foster
Livingstone Range School Division is pleased to announce that Jason MacDonald has been appointed Acting Assistant Principal of J.T. Foster High School, filling the vacancy left as Assistant Principal Joel Gamache accepted a new place-based learning position with the Division.
Jason holds Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, and Master of Education degrees from the University of Prince Edward Island. He received his Principal Certification from the University of Alberta. Jason has thirteen years of teaching experience and has been with LRSD since 2018.
“The staff, students, and families of J.T. Foster will benefit from Jason’s leadership in this capacity,” says Richard Feller, Associate Superintendent of Learning Services. “He brings experience and passion for education that will continue the culture of excellence at the school.”
Jason is looking forward to building positive relationships with the students, staff, and parents at J.T. Foster. “The overwhelming support and community involvement that exists in Nanton has been a breath of fresh air since moving south three years ago,” says Jason. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside this experienced team and join them in the effort to move their goals forward for the benefit of our students.”
A native of Marshfield, PEI, Jason now lives in High River with his wife, Heather, and dog Axle. When he’s not teaching, Jason enjoys reading, camping, hunting, and staying connected with family and friends.
Congratulations to Jason on his new leadership role.
