School Calendar

We are excited to announce, Let's Go Rural! High School Health-Care Career Exploration Day, May 22, 2024 from 9-2pm at the Fort MacLeod Health Centre.  The bus will leave the school at 7:45am and return by 3:15pm. Students will have the opportunity to explore 5-7 careers, speak with the local experts, and participate in hands-on career related activities. This event is open to all students in grades 10 & 11.  All forms, LRSD permission form and AHS media release form and the $25 fee will need to be returned to the office by May 2, 2024.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Christy Bazell (our career practitioner) at bazellc@lrsd.ab.ca or 403-682-9711.

Are you interested in learning how to play chess? We have a student-led (Jayden F) chess club every Thursday at lunch in Mr. Anderson's room. Thank you to the JTF School Council for donating the funds to purchase the chess boards.

Parents of current grade 9 students, and the students are welcome to attend. Learn about programming, schedules, graduation requirements, etc.

Cost: $78749 (includes tax) What to Bring: Bagged lunch & Notebook/Pen How to Register: skillsdrivingschool.ca, fill in the "Contact Us" form and indicate Nanton in the comment section. You will be emailed with a confirmation. After the students have completed in-class portion, they will receive 4 driving lesson (each 2.5hrs/lesson) for a total of 10 instructional driving hours. Students will need to meet the instructors at the A&W in High River.
